Nadine M. Czech

Nadine M. Czech, 77, of Blackduck, Minnesota, died on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society, Blackduck.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Blackduck with Fr. Raul Perez-Cobo officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, March 30 from 2-4 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Society, Blackduck with a 3:30 p.m. prayer service, Friday, March 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck with a 7 p.m. prayer service followed by rosary and one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck.

Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Kellen Boerger, Rachel Czech, Jason Czech, Aadam Czech, Aaron Czech and Aashley Czech.

She was born December 29, 1934 in Skidmore, TX to J.B. and Mildred (Miller) Ray. During her childhood the family moved to Breckenridge, MI. After marrying Arthur Czech on November 15, 1955 Nadine moved to St. Paul, MN to live with Arthur's parents. In 1956 when Art returned from his tour of duty with the U.S. Army they moved to the Czech family farm on 9 Mile Road, Blackduck, MN. Later that year they moved to Minneapolis, MN. While living in Minneapolis Nadine worked for the Old Dutch Potato Chip Company and Universal Circuit Company. She retired from Universal Circuit Company in 1990. Upon Art's retirement in 1991 they moved to God's Country, also known as Blackduck, MN.

Nadine enjoyed spending time camping with her family and friends at Deer Lake campground, Lake Winnie. She also enjoyed volunteering her time to help others by being a volunteer driver for Beltrami County. She liked to read, do crossword puzzles and cook. Nadine was a 5-star chef! She was the best wife, mom, grandma and gmama (great grandma). But, most of all she was our best friend! Nadine was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Blackduck, MN.

She is survived by her husband, Art, Blackduck; one daughter, Terry (Ronnie) Welch of Elwell, MI; three sons, Richard (Paula) Czech of Coon Rapids, MN, Dale (Pam) Czech of Blackduck, MN and Eugene (Tina) Czech of Coon Rapids, MN; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; Sally Olson of Ithaca, MI and Delores Burrier of Liverpool, TX and a brother, Bill Ray of Brookeland, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sonny Ray.
