Obituary for Lenore “Lee” Lundeen

Lenore “Lee” Hope Lundeen, 86, of Bemidji died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN with Rev. Bill Byers officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Friday at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Lee was born October 25, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Joe and Hilja (Hellippe) Anderson. She was raised and educated in North Eastern Minnesota. She graduated from Duluth Denfeld and Central High School in 1944. She attended the American Beauty College in Chicago, Illinois, graduating from there in 1945. She married Earl Lundeen on January 24, 1951 in Northwood, Iowa. She worked at Dalberg Hearing Aids as an assistant, and also at Oscar Ashots as a coil winder and tester for transformers for 2 years. They moved to Bemidji in 1960. She worked at the Bemidji Clinic in the records room and then she worked at Montgomery Wards for 17 years as a sales clerk. She did food demos at Lueken’s and Marketplace Foods, and was a Walmart greeter. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bemidji. She was a volunteer and member with the American Legion Auxiliary, the V.F.W. and the Bemidji Eagles.

She is survived by her husband Earl Lundeen of Bemidji A son- Charles Lundeen of West St. Paul, 2 grandchildren – Joshua Lundeen Crystal (Shawn) Ludwig and 3 great grandchildren
