Janie was born July 30, 1940 the daughter of Walter and Sophie Otto and grew up in Minnesota. She attended the University of North Dakota where she also retired. Janie married Richard Wadsworth and lived in Arizona until he passed in 1997. She later found her life partner James (Jim) Murphy who passed away March 17, 2012. Together they lived South of Bagley where they built their dream home on 20 acres. Her love for wildlife, pines, and fresh air would get her through the daily care of keeping the property and home so beautiful. She would always make time for cooking, canning and gardening. Family and friends enjoyed Janie’s kind heart. She attended church in Bagley at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Janie had an interest in the youth where she shared her time and resources. A hard honest day at work was instilled in her at a young age. This grounded her in life. Janie is deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
A special thanks to Father David Super for his devotion and kindness to our family at this time in our life.
