Rosemary Cosselman

Rosemary Cosselman, 75, of Kelliher, died on Friday, April 06, 2012 at her home.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kelliher with Rev. Raul Perez-Cobo officiating. Visitation will held 5-7 PM on Easter Sunday, April 8th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kelliher with a prayer service and rosary to be held at 7 PM, and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Kelliher, MN.

Rosemary was born on March 12 1937 in Valley City, North Dakota, the daughter of Ralph and Alma (Shuck) Sumner. She attended schools in Fingal, ND and at Kelliher, MN. She and her family moved to Kelliher in 1948. She married Louis Earl Cosselman on June 3, 1954 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kelliher. She worked as a homemaker all her life. After marriage they farmed in the Kelliher area until 1965. They then moved to Pontiac, Michigan and stayed there for 28 years. They moved back to Kelliher after Louis’s retirement in May, 1995 and she has resided there since. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kelliher. She enjoyed sewing quilts, and doing crafts. She loved to travel, which she and Louis did for many years. 

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louis of Kelliher; 3 daughters, Barbara (Dennis) Britt of Waterford, Michigan, Maryann Schuh of Kelliher, and Anna (Benson) Ledford of Kelliher; her son, Dale Cosselman of White Lake, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard (Linda) Sumner of Pontiac, Michigan, and Vernon Sumner of Butte, Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Alma Sumner; her sister, Shirley Graham; and her son-in-law, Arthur Schuh. .
