Obituary for Robert “Boots” Paul Bedtke

Robert “Boots” Paul Bedtke, 41, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Cass Lake died Monday, June 18, 2012.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Cass Lake American Legion Post # 284 in Cass Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the Cass Lake American Legion. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements.

Robert was born March 16, 1971 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Robert and Nancy (Molash) Bedtke. He moved to Cass Lake when he was 10 years old and graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1989. He lived in Chaska and Forest Lake and moved back to Cass Lake 7 years ago and in January of this year, he moved to Grand Rapids. He worked as a over the road truck driver and later for Knife River for several years. He did seasonal work making wreaths and most recently was employed by Stony Point Resort in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing, riding bike with his nephew Caleb, going to campfires and golfing.

He is survived by his mother- Nancy Bedtke of Cass Lake His father- Robert Bedtke of South St. Paul 2 sisters- Joan (Philip) Lupkes of Bloomington Judith Bedtke of Cass Lake 3 nephews – Caleb Walker, B. J. Kehren and Alan Lupkes 2 nieces – Destiny Bedtke and Heidi Kehren Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins

He was preceded in death by his grandparents- William and Virginia Molash and a grandma- Mabel Steinbach, 5 cousins and an aunt – Wendy Crasper.
