Kay Maxine Oelslager, 61 of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Bemidji, MN with Rev. Stan Nelson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Bemidji, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
She was born December 24, 1950 in Bemidji, MN the daughter of Lyle and Dorothy (Pfuhlman) Stone. She attended and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1969. She married Gene Oelslager on August 28, 1971. She had a licensed day care for 13 years. Kay worked for the McDonald’s corporation for 17 years, receiving the Presidents Award in 2006. She enjoyed reading, flowers, music, camping and traveling. Her walk with the Lord and her family were the most important things in her life. She is survived by her husband Gene of Bemidji, her only daughter, Christy Oelslager of Bemidji, her mother, her sister Judy (Dennis) Fredenburg, three brothers Ken Stone of Bemidji, Wayne Stone of Apache Junction, AZ, Matthew (Stephanie) Stone of Bemidji and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Lyle Stone.
Casketbearers will be Dennis Fredenburg, Jason Fredenburg, Jeremy Fredenburg, Casey Stone, Matthew Stone and Jay Burba-Venne.
