Michael Dehkes, 31, of Bagley, MN died on July 31, 2012 in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bagley, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Bagley, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.
Michael was born June 24, 1981 in Edina, Minnesota the son of Ronald and Cheryl (Ramsrud) Dehkes. He grew up in Bagley, MN and attended elementary and high school in Bagley. In 1999 Michael graduated from Bagley High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He attended Bemidji State University and graduated Cum laude receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts. Michael was an avid writer and loved to write essays and poetry. He was very intelligent and had a heart of gold which showed in many ways including home schooling his brother Andrew. Michael was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was a Mass Server for 4 years. He was very spiritual. Michael’s hobbies included video games and reading books. He also had a special place in his heart for animals.
He is survived by his parents- Ronald and Cheryl Dehkes of Bagley, MN Sister- Michelle Christianson of Bemidji, MN Brothers- Jeremy Ramsrud, Robert Dehkes and Andrew Dehkes all of Bagley, MN Grandmother- Betty Sheldon of Bagley, MN Aunts and Uncles and Cousins 1 niece and 2 nephews
