Lynn Lestle Comegys

Lynn Lestle Comegys, 82, of Erskine, Minnesota, formerly of Blackduck, Minnesota died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Pioneer Health Center in Erskine. Memorial Services will be at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 19th at Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck with Pastor Max Cheney officiating.  Visitation will be from 3:00- 5:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at a later date in Oregon. 

He was born on October 23, 1929 in Crane, Oregon, the son of August and Ella Mae (Steele) Comegys.  He attended grade school in Happy Valley and Diamond, Oregon and attended Crane Union High School, graduating in 1947.  He married Wilma Jean Ash on October 2, 1949 in Burns, Oregon and they resided in Burns until 1972.  He worked for Edward Hines Logging Company from 1952 to 1972.  They then moved to Blackduck, MN where he was a Dairy and Beef Farmer until his retirement in 2001.  He moved to Erskine in 2009 due to his health.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren in their sports and Rams football. 

He is survived by his wife Wilma Comegys of Blackduck; 2 daughters, Glenda (Donald) Peasley and Sandra (Richard) Lien, both of Blackduck; his son, Glenn (Nancy) Comegys of Casstleton, ND; his sister, Norine Floras of Meridan, ID; 7 grandchildren, Melinda (Neil) McLean, Sheila (David) Bjerkness, Kimberly (MJ) Connell, Jeff (Tami) Comegys, Jared Comegys, Jacob Lien, and Kelsea Lien; 5 great grandchildren, Mariah, Brandan, Emily, Hunter, and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, August Comegys and Ella Mae Smyth; a brother, Glenn Aaron Comegys; an infant son, Marshall Lynn Comegys, and many uncles and aunts.
