Larry Erickson, 64, of Baxter, MN formerly of Clearbrook died on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his friend’s cabin north of Clearwater Lake MN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Country Faith Church rural Clearbrook, MN with Pastor Larry Dorman officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Military Rites will be accorded by the Melvin Johnson American Legion Post No. 256 of Clearbrook. Interment will be at the Clover Cemetery in rural Leonard, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.

Larry was born February 20, 1948 in Bagley, Minnesota the son of Ernest and Mavis (Swanson) Erickson. He grew up in Clearbrook and attended Clearbrook schools. He entered the U.S. Army on January 19, 1966 and was honorable discharged on December 5, 1967. While in the service he received metals for expert marksmanship and the National Defense Service metal. While in Frankfurt, Germany Larry served in the motor pool and was a personal staff driver for a colonel. Larry married Barbara Forsberg July 23, 1971 in Watertown, SD. They lived in Clearbrook until moving to Baxter in 1996. Larry worked on the pipeline as a heavy equipment operator and foreman. He was employed by Mueller Pipeline for 25 years. For the past 4 years he worked for Charps Construction of Clearbrook. He was a member of the Local 49er’s. Larry’s interests included fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include- his wife- Barbara Erickson of Baxter, MN One Daughter- Tracy Joppru of Baxter, MN Son- Darren (Tammy Martine) Erickson of Crookston, MN Son- Jeff Johnson His parents- Ernest and Mavis Erickson of Clearbrook, MN Three Sisters- Patsy (Greg) Boe of Clearbrook, MN Linda Ubert of Clearbrook, MN Lori (Greg) Bjerke Clearbrook, MN One brother- Jerry (Cindy) Erickson of Clearbrook, MN Four Grandchildren- Brittani and Austin Joppru, Devin and Dylan Erickson One Great Grandson- Adom Anderson
