Rita Marie Bode

Rita Bode, 68, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Sunday, February 24, 2013 under comfort care of Sanford Fargo Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Landstad Lutheran Cemetery in Shevlin, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.

Rita was born on December 25, 1944 the daughter of Elias “Millie” and Helen (Roedocker) Bode. She attended Shevlin School and Graduated from Bagley High School in 1962. Rita started working at the Clearwater Memorial Hospital in 1967 as a Nurses Aid. In the late 1990’s, she received her CNA training at Greensview Nursing Home where she worked for 6 weeks before returning to the hospital. Later Rita was transferred to housekeeping, and because of her age and health, she retired in 2007. Rita lived in Bagley her whole adult life and moved to Cornerstone Assisted Living in 2009.

Rita was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending Bible Study. She embroidered blankets for all the babies that were born in the hospital. Rita enjoyed crocheting and she gave everyone she knew a life time supply of refrigerator towels and dish rags. Rita loved to read, put together jig saw puzzles and work on word find puzzles.

She is survived by her niece Kay (Randy) Crabtree of Bagley, MN Nephew – Duane Bode of Bemidji, MN Nephew – Lars (Jennifer) Bode of Bemidji, MN Sister-in-law – Lavonne Bode of Bemidji, MN

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother – Ernie.
