Betty Listrom

Betty Listrom, 91, of Bagley, MN died on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Sanford Bagley Medical Center in Bagley, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church rural Bagley, MN at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery rural Bagley. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.

Betty was born on April 9, 1921 at Staten Island, New York the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Cynski) Seabarkrob. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in 1939. When she was a senior in high school, she took second place the New York spelling bee. After high school, she attended Secretarial Vocational School in New York. She worked at New York Life Insurance as an executive secretary from 1950 – 1970. She married Howard Listrom on March 3, 1960 at Staten Island, New YorkIn 1972, the family moved to Bagley, MN. Betty worked for Hough Plumbing and Heating and Peterson Hardware for 10 years as a bookkeeper. She retired in the early 1980’s. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the City Election Committee and was on the Bowling League. Betty enjoyed the fellowship of going to casino’s, bowling and traveling which she did into her 80’s.

She is survived by her daughter – Nancy (Bob) Barton of Denver, CO Sister – Dorothy Tachine of Napa, CA Nephew – Jeffrey (Addie) Seabarkrob of Illinois

6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three daughters – Betty Ann, Susan Elizabeth and Janet; 2 sisters – Mary and .
