David was born on September 20, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois the son of David Henry Pixler Jr. and Dorothy Barcellona Pixler. He started working on cars by the age 13 and the passion never left. He owned just about make and model known to man, along with several body shops and junk yards, and loved to tell stories of them all. Family and food rounded out his life. He loved his wife and children and adored his grandchildren. And we all loved eating his delicious Italian cooking! He settled in California in the 80’s and went on to marry his wife Suzen in 1986. They raised their family in the country amidst fruit trees and classic cars. While there he mastered his art of restorations. Only Dave would use 60+ classic cars as lawn art! In 2006, Dave and Sue retired to the fresh air of Minnesota to live among the lakes and pines. Dave was a hard worker and loved his family and friends with all his heart. His suffering is over and he’s working on God’s cars now!
