Jeanne Lenore Lee, 85, of Bagley, Minnesota died on April 29th, 2012 at Cornerstone Nursing Home in Bagley, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Milan C. Davig officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 3rd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cease Funeral Home in Bagley and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home. Jeanne was born in Trail, Minnesota on August 3, 1926, the daughter of John and Lilly Jacobson. She was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Trail. She was confirmed in Clearbrook. Jeanne grew up in Trail, Clearbrook and Fosston. She graduated in 1944 from Fosston High School. She attended Minnesota School of Business then moved to Chicago and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad during WW II. She married Irvin “Pee Wee” Lee on February 16, 1946 in Bagley, Minnesota. Pee Wee died October 20, 1980. Jeanne owned and operated the House of Bargains for 13 years in Bagley and also worked in the Bagley School as a Volunteer Grandmother for 11 years. Jeanne was a member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1946 and was active in the church choir and performed as a soloist for over 30 years. She was also a member of Irvin Blix #16 Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years. Jeanne lived in the Bagley area until 2005 when she moved to the Park Rapids area for 5 years. She moved back to Bagley in 2010. Jeanne loved to quilt and enjoyed giving them to her family and various organizations. Faith and family were very important to her. She is survived by her son - Jon (Sandi) Lee of Osage, MN Son - David (Cindi) Lee of Bagley, MN Daughter - Kari (Richard) Abel of Sauk Rapids, MN Daughter-in-law - Penny Lee of Alexandria, MN Brother - Morris (Jeannie) Jacobson of Bemidji, MN Sister - Diane (Arlan) Marshall of Bagley, MN 15 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son- Douglas Lee
